Values Connect: Develop, Enable, Support
I’m Susan and I take a 2-pronged approach within my business.
1. I work with 3rd Sector Organisations around organisation development, quality improvement and sustainability.
2. I am a coach for Leaders, Aspiring Leaders and in training as an ADHD Specialist Coach (completion April 2025)
.
Why I Do This
Having been a CEO within the 3rd Sector for almost 12 years, with a total of 17 years in leadership positions, I am keen to continue to support ongoing development and capacity building with and for charities.
It has only been on reflection that I was on a long, slow drip burnout, before I left my role in 2024. I am so aware that my story is replicated – both in the past – but also in the present, by many other sector leaders.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with ADHD. For me, this was a light bulb moment where it felt like everything made a little more sense. I began searching for a coach. Not only were the searches overwhelming, but decision paralysis set in and on many occasions, the coaches were financially inaccessible.
I couldn’t find what I was looking for… so I came up with Values Connect. This has enabled me to combine my passion for the 3rd Sector, my interest in wellbeing and my curiosity in how ADHD and other neurotypes present differently – acknowledging the challenges but exploring how we can celebrate the strengths and drive forwards with increased self-awareness, effective strategies and new embedded skills.
